3 am in Berlin, crying in a bathtub filled with a pound of kosher salt from Warsaw, post a train ride crossing the border from Poland to Germany. Photo by Peter Stanglmayr.

In which I encounter abortion activists in Warsaw, learn long buried family secrets, sob for hours in Berlin as my heart breaks & opens & breaks again with the grief of past/ present and end up at a Hollywood blockbuster premiere in London starring Brad Pitt, spending a few hours escaping in the dark as Tom Cruise maniacally laughs and shovels popcorn in his mouth a few seats away. Life certainly isn’t boring.

*Don’t worry this post won’t be all sad n’ shit, I’m also going to talk about fashion and local beauty remedies, ‘cause I believe in dressing UP for the revolution, self care, not giving into fear, actively resisting authoritarianism while holding onto JOY. If these really are end times I’m going to dance and sing my way into the fire babe looking good whilst doing so. Love ya mean it! But I love my paid subscribers even more… xoxo

At Polish designer Magda Butrym’s hidden gem of a store in Warsaw, trying on her SICK buttery leather 1960s-esque coat which I regret not buying but have no need for in Hawaii. The silk dotted headscarf obviously I had to purchase.
